Orlene J. Green
Hello, I’m Licensed Counselor Orlene, and my passion for helping individuals facing mental illness and addiction began when I was just five years old. My Christian faith, resilience, and life experiences—from growing up in the Caribbean to building a life in Connecticut—have shaped my dedication to compassionate, culturally aware care. With a strong academic background and professional experience in casework, education, and community counseling, I eventually opened my private practice, Abel Counseling LLC, to serve the Greater Hartford community.
My work is guided by Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and the Motivational Enhancement Approach, along with faith-based and 12-Step principles when appropriate. I believe deeply that every person has the ability to heal, grow, and live a healthier, more fulfilling life.
Warm regards,
Orlene J. Green
